Mifta Naim Huda is the Executive Director of Center for Development Innovation and Practices (CDIP), a rural development institution primarily engaged in Microfinance as well as Primary Health Care, Primary Education Support, Distribution and Social activities.
Initially Mifta served as Director – Strategy & Development at CDIP overseeing the organization’s strategic agenda and transition plan. He was also responsible the organization’s automation process enhancement and capacity building initiatives.
Prior to joining CDIP, Mifta was Head of Marketing at Agora Limited, Bangladesh’s first grocery retail brand. He was responsible for driving the company’s customer count, increasing the average basket value and building a loyal customer base.
Before Agora Limited, Mifta spent 7 years with Bata Shoe Company starting as a trainee and progressed to Head of Shoe collections over the years. During his time with the company he worked in sales, product management, distribution and managed brands such as Bata, Hush Puppies, Nike, Adidas, Skechers as well as Bata’s in house lifestyle, outdoors, sports, ladies and children’s brands.
After graduation, Mifta worked at a Thai Company, Siam Jumbo Limited, managing its international client base in the Middle East and Europe for its fresh fruits and vegetables business.
Mifta completed his bachelors and master’s in business administration majoring marketing from the Assumption University, Thailand. While in Assumption University he represented the institution at Thammasat University Business Challenge in 2005, Kasetsart International MBA Business Plan Competition in 2006 where his team received best social responsibility prize. He also represented Assumption at the mai Bangkok Business Challenge at Sasin in 2008.
