Shirish C Panda, is a career microfinance professional with a diversified domain expertise from Sales, Operations, Product Management, Internal Audit to risk management. He started his career with BASIX as Field Executive when Indian Microfinance was in its early stage of evolution (in 2001). He has weathered troughs the crests and troughs while fighting with all the odds and crisis like AP crisis, demonetization and the severe downswing of Covid 19.
He was instrumental in setting up the innovative KGFS model of IFMR as Chief Operating officer, played a pivotal role in scaling up and diversification process of Satin Creditcare, lead Arohan Financial Services as business head to scale 5X by size in four years. In his current role (as Business Head, Microfinance Business) he established the Microfinance Business of Tata Capital. Under his leadership Tata Capital has reached out to over 200000 households in less than 2 years time.
He believes in process first and growth next. He is an advocate of responsible growth where customer service is in its core. Shirish is a Post-Graduate from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and an executive alumnus of IIM Lucknow with post graduate diploma in Strategic Management.
